Contemporary Classic Cars, Inc (CCC) is in the business of manufacturing a truly unique vehicle, the Ravenhawk Street Rod. It is a “wide body” luxury street rod that has the amenities of a luxury car; however it looks like, sounds like and performs like a street rod. It has the side profile of a 1933 Ford, albeit with a “swoopy” contemporary look. The owner is able to create their own unique Ravenhawk by selecting their color, interior, engine, transmission, dash instrumentation, wheels, etc. The convertible top and huge trunk give you the flexibility to drive in any weather, as well as having room for golf clubs and baggage—even with the top down! It's no fun to go someplace by yourself; with the Ravenhawk you can take your spouse or a friend in comfort!
Rather than concentrating on refurbishing an existing car that most likely has a significant amount of rust and grease that has to be redone prior to any beautification effort, CCC manufactures a new fiberglass body and space tube frame. We also purchase contemporary systems, i.e. engine, transmission and suspension for each Ravenhawk. As many parts as possible are utilized from existing major car manufacturers so that if any repair work is needed, at home or on the road, then the local car dealer’s mechanics are familiar with them. Also parts are readily available vs having to send your car back to a custom shop to rebuild the only part that exists.
CCC already has significant experience in the street rod market, as we hand built a design prototype which was beautiful enough to also be shown at major events, such as local, regional and national car shows, racing events, Barrett-Jackson & RM Auction exhibits. Over 23,500 miles were driven on it from our home base in Wichita, KS to cities including Phoenix, AZ; Dallas, TX; Little Rock AR; Lincoln, NE; Denver, CO; and twice to Fort Lauderdale, FL. These “actual miles” not only proved the robust design, but also provided valuable feedback from the market that the concept is valid.
CCC provides the Ravenhawk in two turnkey versions: the Luxury Street Rod (LSR) and the Standard Street Rod (SSR) roadster. For the “hands on” enthusiast we offer the Roadster Street Rod (RSR) in turnkey minus configuration, as well as the High Boy Roadster (HBR) kit. Optional items are available for each version.
